Covid-19 Protocol

Protocol for Dr. Lints office

1. When you arrived in the parking lot  for your appointment Text: 1-231-714-6648. We will respond to your text. If you do not receive a text back within 5 minutes call our office at 231 922-7210.
   1. Staff will greet the patient at the car. The assistant will check temperature and ask health questions for signs of Covid-19. Depending on patients age and comfort level, patient will come in with or without the parent.
   2. Patient should have teeth brushed, showered, and washed hands before leaving home. Brushing will not be allowed in the office before appointment.
   3. For mouthwash and to brush teeth use 3 parts water an 1-part hydrogen peroxide at home.
   4. Patient should leave coat in car.
   5. Patient and parent are required to wear their own masks in the office.
2. Within the facility
   1. Child washes hands again with ethanol at the front sink
   2. Directed to the cleaned chair and procedure is completed in a timely fashion.
   3. Staff have PPE: scrubs, mask, shield, gloves
   4. Chair is sprayed with a disinfectant before and after the child leaves.

Orthodontic Staff questions:

1. Fever, cough, shortness of breath
2. Have they been traveling over the last 2 weeks
3. Temperature more than 100.4 F
4. Have flu like symptoms within 72 hours
5. 14 days away from contact with a covid-19 patient
